We all know Oliver Stone is a prominent leftie and highly critical of the US foreign policy, which one can conclude after reviewing his latest documentary that basically cheerleaded the Hugo Chavez regime. Not to mention the fact he’s a border-line conspiracy theorist. But now it seems his criticisms of the United States have achieved a new low. According to a release interview he did with The Times, Oliver Stone makes the claim, a claim that is commonly used by known anti-semites, by asserting that the United States foreign policy is influenced by Jewish interests and that Jew control the US media:

The Jewish domination of the media. There’s a major lobby in the United States. They are hard workers. They stay on top of every comment, the most powerful lobby in Washington. Israel has fucked up United States foreign policy for years.”

This isn’t the first time Stone has made such insensitive comments. In January, 2010, while describing his new documentary about Hitler and Stalin he was planning, Stone basically downplayed the Holocaust:

The 10-part documentary [which Stone is planning] will address Stalin and Hitler “in context”, he says. “Hitler was a Frankenstein but there was also a Dr Frankenstein. German industrialists, the Americans and the British. He had a lot of support.”

He also seeks to put his atrocities in proportion: “Hitler did far more damage to the Russians than the Jewish people, 25 or 30m.”

In response, Norman Geras, Professor Emeritus of Government at the University of Manchester, said Stone’s was being “contemptible and brutish”:

No one who has taken any close interest in the history of the Second World War could be unfamiliar with the extent of Russian suffering and death under German occupation. So ‘more damage to the Russians than the Jewish people’ is a purely apologetic trope, since at that level of human catastrophe the insistence on maintaining a sense of proportion about five to six million Jewish dead is a plain attempt to diminish. And what follows that is then standard anti-Semitism: the Jews control the media and they work hard at it; and this is what accounts for the focus on the Holocaust (rather than any features of the genocide itself).

And Palestinian activists and lefttists call it a “concentration camp?”

From Arutz Sheva:

While Hamas continues to complain that Gaza lacks building materials, a luxury mall in Gaza City held its grand opening over the weekend. Among the goods on sale are Israeli men’s clothing, and items from Turkey, France, and the United States. Photojournalist Tom Gross, who publicized photos from Saturday’s event on his website, noted that the opening coincided with a visit to Gaza from European Union foreign policy director Catherine Ashton. “The BBC and other media have featured extensive reports all day long on what they term the dire economic situation in Gaza; why are they not mentioning the new shopping mall that opened there yesterday?” Gross asked. Pictures of the new mall were featured on the Palestinian Authority Safa website and by the Associated Press. A variety of stores sell cosmetics, clothing, office supplies, toys, shoes, appliances and more. The mall boasts air conditioning and a delivery service. Hamas has often accused Israel of creating a “siege” by keeping its border crossings to Gaza closed. According to Hamas, Gaza lacks electricity and building supplies. Gross, who has previously posted pictures of fancy restaurants, shops filled with goods, and even an Olympic-size swimming pool during the “Israeli siege,” pointed out that Gaza enjoys a higher standard of living than Turkey, which recently sent citizens on a flotilla to Gaza in violation of an Israeli naval blockade of Hamas. Noting that life expectancy and literacy rates are higher in Gaza than in Turkey, while infant mortality rates are lower, he asked, “Have they considered that perhaps the humanitarian flotillas ought to be going in the other direction, towards Turkey?” Despite the bargain prices, Israelis are advised that it is forbidden to enter Gaza.

And Palestinian activists and lefttists call it a “concentration camp?”

On July 6th, 2010, ANSWERLA staged a rally in front of the Federal Building in Los Angeles to protest the IDF’s raid in the Gaza flotilla. As I expected, much of the rhetoric was one sided and composed of words most at the rally didn’t know the definition of. Words like “apartheid.”

When I got there I discovered that the protesters had yet to show up. So, while waiting, I decided to take a few pictures of the veterans memorial across the street.

After a while, the organizers finally arrived and began setting up a table, speakers, a microphone, and signs and banners.

Before long people began showing up with their own signs.

The protesters with the signs and Palestinian flags lined up along the sidewalk along traffic. Though they didn’t receive as many supportive honks as Israel supporters at the rally last month, they did get a few.

Here’s are some of the more interesting posters:

Just so you know Villaraigosa is Mayor of Los Angeles. I have no clue what he has to do with Israel.

Of course there are also the baseless accusations that Israel is performing apartheid.

A common running theme at these kinds of protests that I’ve noticed is a generalization against all Israelis. A generalization that borders on racism.

There were also a few people with Turkish flags:

Some of the posters at this certain rally were also highly graphic. It’s a common tactic in order to incite other peoples emotions. Thought frankly I find it kind of manipulative.  Honestly I wasn’t sure what surprised me more: the fact that the posters were incredibly violent or the fact that there were children amongst the protesters.

(Note: I realize some might not seem as violent as I stated but I withheld some of the images so I don’t get flagged. I might post them later.)

So is it 765 or 865? Make sure you get your numbers right before trying to make a statement.

Of course what’s a protest without Richard Levik tagging along…………. again. Here a reporter from ABC 7 is giving him an interview.

While I was filming Levik arguing with a anti-Israel protester I noticed a young individual with an Israeli flag entering the area he tried to cross the street but before he could the protest organizers quickly surrounded him and began hassling him. One of the organizers by the name of Douglas Kauffman told him to get “that racist flag out of here,” while another in a red shirt told him that I was the reason he wasn’t getting his “ass beat” since I was filming.”

After, he managed to finally cross the street one of the protesters began arguing with the organizers on how the handled the situation. It revealed the rift between the more radical protesters and those who were more inclined to be moderate or pro-peace. Here’s the video of the debacle:

Also, near the end of the situation a guy came out of no where and inquired on to what was going on. He also left an interesting message at the end of the video.

This is an interesting video I just discovered. It reveals liberal hypocrisy in great detail:

This rally occurred on June 1st, 2010, in front of the Turkish consulate in Los Angeles California after the flotilla raid.

The first thing that took me surprise was the amount of people at this protest. Many people were lined up on the side walks with their signs and flags trying to get people to honk their horns.

Here’s a selection of some of the signs I found the most interesting.

This one is pretty basic. It targets Hamas’ aggression towards Israel.

This sign expresses support for the IDF troops who raided the flotilla by exposing the fact that many of the activists had ties to known terrorist groups.

This sign seeks to express the legality of the IDF’s actions against the flotilla.

Richard Levik, again, making himself known as he does at every protest or rally that’s going on in the neighborhood. You might not remember but he’s the same guy who was attacked at neo-nazi counter protest a couple of months back that I filmed.

Here’s a couple of videos I took showing the large amount of support the ralliers recieved from drivers:

I almost managed to take a few shots of the supportive motorists:

Here’s also a drive by video I took when I was leaving:

From Ha’aretz:

The Palestinian Authority, as well as the leaders of the Palestinian popular protests in villages such as Bil’in, Na’alim, Umm Salmuna, have been trying to keep the following story away from both public knowledge and the media’s eye: One of the more prominent Umm Salmuna activists – a village south of Bethlehem, long entrenched in a battle against the West Bank separation fence – is suspected of the attempted rape of an American peace activist who had been residing in the village as part of her support of the local protest.

Omar Aladdin, who had been arrested three months ago over suspicions he had attempted to rape the U.S. citizen, was subsequently released after agreeing to apologize to the young woman. However, Haaretz had learned that representatives of both the popular protest movement and the PA have since applied pressure on the American peace activist as to prevent her from making the story public.

The incident allegedly took place last April, as Aladdin, who had served a term in the Israeli jail in the past, arrived one evening at the guest house in which many of the foreign peace activists were staying. The European and American female activists reportedly agreed to let Aladdin stay with them after he had told them he feared the Israel Defense Forces were on his tail, adding that he had been severely beaten at an IDF checkpoint only a week before.

During his stay Aladdin allegedly attempted to rape a Muslim-American woman, nicknamed “Fegin” by fellow activists. The woman escaped, later accusing the popular protest man of the attempt. One villager who had encountered the American following the incident said she had been in a state of shock.

Aladdin then refused to apologize for the incident, when news of it reached the village’s popular committee, the popular protests’ governing body, allegedly saying that the incident had been marginal and normal. The American activist then asked the committee to notify authorities of the attempted rape, a request which resulted in the man being arrested by security forces in Bethlehem. After agreeing to apologize for the incident, Aladdin was released from custody by the PA police.

The U.S. citizen was then convinced to retract her complaint, as to avoid tainting the image of the popular protest, which had attracted praise from around the world in recent months.

However, the Umm Salmuna case is not the only one. Separation fence activists know of other incidents in which Palestinians molested and sexually assaulted foreign peace activists, a subject which was apparently raised in the discussions of the various popular committees.

Foreign female peace activists regularly participate in protests in the villages of Bil’in, Na’alin, and others, where the activists stay in separate houses. Some villagers do not agree with these housing arrangements, claiming that the villages’ youth, who frequently visit the activists, are corrupted by the young women.

One villager said the female activists bring a different “culture with them, western, too open. The young people, especially from the villages, aren’t used to stay near other girls, they do not know their culture, certainly when it’s a young woman staying with other women in a strange house. They misinterpret it.”

Mahmoud Zwahara, the popular committee’s coordinator for the Umm Salmuna and Ma’sara region, said in response that “the struggle against the separation fence is a joint fight, which does not target Israeli identity or Jews. We hope that our activity will show the Israeli soldiers that they must cease their actions against us as well as human rights violations.”

April 17th, 2010. Los Angles City Hall.

The National Socialist Movement planned to have a rally on April 17th, 2010, in front of LA City Hall. Some far left groups caught wind of it and had a rally of their own

By the time I already arrived at 10:45, ANSWER, which is a heavily anti-racist and anti-war group alreadt set up tables and distributed banners and signs.

A huge wall of police officers were also guarding the area where the white nationalists were planning to demonstrate.

Here are a few pictures of some of the individuals who were marching up and down the street while waiting for thw white nationalists to arrive.

By 11:17, violence erupted when a mentally ill homeless man who had an assortment of neo-nazi tattoos stumbled unto the anti-war side. He was almost immediately attacked and beaten until he made it past the police officers:

Before the white nationalists or NSM members showed up I noticed the numerous assortments of groups that took part in the protest. Some of which have been listed as hate groups themselves by the ADL and SPLC! These include the New Black Panther Party:

And the Black Hebrew Israelites:

There were also Israel Defense Force supporters there also:

By 12:00, the police blocked the road in order to keep the counter protesters from attacking the neo-nazis. By this point violence erupted again after anarchist members mistook Richard Levik, a member of a group called The Levite Line, for one of the NSM members. According to his website: “The Levite Line is an organization dedicated to reestablishing the Levitical/Aaronic priesthood, as originally outlined in the Biblical books of Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy. is dedicated to the reunification of the House of Israel (also known as the House of Joseph) with the House of Judah, as one united people.  This reunification centers upon organizing the Levite’s (descendants of Levi) and Aaronites (descendants of Aaron, Moses’ brother), who are willing to participate, from amongst all of the tribes of Israel and Judah.” Richard Levik normally follows and shows up at numerous rallies that have a wide political viewpoint. He normally gets into confrontations with other protesters due to the controversial sign he normally takes to the protests which expresses anti-christian and anti-pagan sentiments. The group he’s a part of contains aspects of Judaism, Christianity, and Mormonism. Also, about Richard he claims he is neutral when it comes to the Israel-Palestine conflict, and he strongly values individualism, and it seems he supports same sex marriage. In the video below his sign is wanked from his hands by a protestor. He is then surrounded as the counter-protesters mob mentality set in and people started to assume he was a Nazi. He’s then punched and knocked to the ground until the police intervene and save him. The conflict starts around the 2:10 mark:

By 12:30, the Nazis finally arrive and a shouting match begins between the two groups. The NSM or Nazis then begin to step on and try to destroy a Mexican and Israeli flag:

When news spread that the NSM members were leaving at 1:45, the counter protesters jetted for the parking area, however they were stopped by another wall of police and prevented from entering the parking area. Many of the protesters, especially the anarchists, began throwing bottles at the police and in the direction of the parking area. After much intimidation police began pushing protesters back. After the confrontation started to die down a bit there was much disagreement with how the protesters were behaving towards the police:

After the demonstration 5 counter protesters were arrested.
